Biography

Runa Takamura is a member of the sexy Japanese girl group Golden Half, popular and notorious in Japan during the ’70s. Her father was German, her mother Japanese, though she was born and raised in Japan, a true Axis power. Her first movie was Stray Cat Rock: Sex Hunter (1970), which featured her girl group. But it was Cloistered Nun: Runa’s Confession (1979) that really has a beat we can beat off to. Directed by cult auteur Masaru Konuma, it’s a nunsploitation classic, with Runa starring as the naked nun of the title. Though she went on to appear in Assault! Jack the Ripper (1976) and New Female Prisoner Scorpion: #701 (1976), there’ll be no comeback for Runa. She died of cancer in 2004. Hopefully God’s got a sense of humor.
